PROJECT DESCRIPTION
- Design Intent: Design a luxury residential apartment building in the Upper West Side balancing the historic implications of the surrounding area while meeting the residential demands.
- Location: New York, NY
- Size: 179,000 SF
- Residential / Commercial
- Completed 2008
- Description: The project is envisioned as a slender glass and terracotta clad residential tower that would be as transparent as possible but still fit within the rich historic tapestry of the upper west side architecture with a fresh and modern interpretation. Designed to cater to families, the building incorporates a hybrid curtain wall, high-end finishes, Low-scale retail for street-scape, a generous interior courtyard along with other tenant amenities. It offers a carefully-measured solution to the many demands of development and continues the ongoing-dialogue about appropriate housing on the Upper West Side.
